We are looking for a person who loves customers, process, and problem solving and is passionate about customer satisfaction. This person must desire to work within a small but cohesive team yet be self-motivated and take initiative while working independently. Always display personal and professional responsibility. Attention to detail and ability to multitask. Technically inclined and strong communicators will be a great fit in this position. Individuals who are able to critically think and communicate under pressure are highly recommended to apply.

Job description:

Answer customer inquiries about orders and products via phone and email, place orders with vendors, process returns and warranty items, ship in-house orders, work with our team, customers, and coordinate with vendors to solve technical product issues. Provide administrative assistance within the office.

Basic duties:

Customer support:

Communicate with customers and provide information requested. Answer product and installation questions which may entail working with customers’ contractors or electricians and our manufacturers. Follow up with customers and vendors regarding outstanding issues. Occasionally process accounts payable and accounts receivable. Confirm purchase orders to sales orders to invoices. Greet customers who visit the showroom from time to time.

Administrative:

Order office supplies, product inventory, and marketing supplies. Maintain physical office organization. Other duties assigned as needed (since we are a small company with a strong team, help in other areas may be requested ever so often).

Requirements:

Show proof of your previous work experience/results and how this benefitted your previous employers and yourself.

Trustworthy with a high level of integrity.

High emotional intelligence with no fear of conflict resolution.

Strong level of commitment to goals.

High level of accountability to others.

Focus on getting positive results.

Have a valid Washington state driver's license.

Able to lift and carry 50 lbs.

Able to sit/stand/walk for extended periods (up to eight hours) and walk up and down stairs.

Able to talk on the phone or in person as long as needed.

Able to work independently for extended periods.

Capable of being instructed, not afraid to ask questions, and able to take advantage of constructive criticism.

Have good working knowledge of standard office equipment hardware and software.

Able to accurately keep records in the form of data logging for order tracking and customer information.

Additional experience desired:

Possess a high school diploma and college degree, however, we will consider previous work experience as well.

Experience in a similar role (customer care or office manager).

QuickBooks accounting software.

Google Workspace or MS Office.

Understand HVAC systems or basic electricity.

Able to read and interpret construction plans.

Following and improving department SOP’s.

Experience following an EOS platform is desirable, but not required.

What we offer you:

Full time in office Monday-Friday, located in Bellingham, WA.

Seasonally hours may vary May - August due to the nature of the heating business and employee appreciation to enjoy the finer months in Bellingham.

Part-time remote work is a possibility after the training period.
