Our vision is that SPMC is a national model for innovative research that combines new and traditional approaches and incorporates a diverse community of learners to create transformational education experiences.About the PositionThe Administrative Services Manager will work under the direction of the WWU Director of Marine and Coastal Sciences to support programs and activities of faculty, students, staff, and researchers at the Shannon Point Marine Center in Anacortes.Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience

One year experience in office or administrative setting performing clerical or administrative support work including day-to-day office operations and reception duties

Experience managing multiple budgets in excess of $10,000 and experience in managing organizational purchasing

Ability to be a self-starter, work independently, set own work priorities, work accurately, and maintain open communication with supervisor

Ability to work as part of a diverse, collaborative team in a dynamic work environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent organizational skills

Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel (spreadsheet and graphing capabilities), Teams, and Outlook (calendar and email capabilities)

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in marine science, biology, chemistry, geology, environmental science, or related subject matter

Experience with paperwork for purchasing, travel, hiring, and personnel management

Familiarity with WWU budget and travel policies

Familiarity with SharePoint

Familiarity with TEM, Concur, PageUp, Banner, and Millennium
