Looking for a mason's tender/helper; typically work with stone, as well as block, brick, and occasional concrete work. Work includes mixing mortars, setting up and handling masonry units, moving materials, and helping with layout and build. Interested person would need to be able to lift at least 50lbs, preferably up to 100lbs. Note also that jobs are usually outdoors and in all seasons (though winter can be slow). Training will be provided where needed and no experience is required. Personal transportation is also necessary. Locations range from the northern Shenandoah Valley (ShenCo/Frederick/Clarke) to Western Loudoun County.
Part-time hours should be expected as I have to juggle family obligations (which include two young children). Work days are typically 6-7.5 hours, at least 4 days per week depending on weather and administrative needs. Job is a paid as a 1099, so some schedule flexibility is available. If interested in learning the trade, I am happy to make the arrangement into an apprenticeship-type of situation.
