LPN Post Acute Restorative Days Sewanee

As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.Under the direction of an RN, contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.May administer medication.Documents patient care given.Assists RN with development of plan of care.Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.Assists patients in therapeutic restorative care based on the therapy plan of care.Monitors Restorative CNA services to patients.Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.Position requires working in both STRHS locations, Winchester and Sewanee.Perform other duties as assigned.Attends and participates in staff meetings, in-service, projects and committees as assigned.Adheres to and supports policies and procedures of the STRHS.Works scheduled shifts including overtime, when necessary.Accepts all call schedule as directed.Maintains a neat and professional appearance in compliance to the existing dress code.Compliance to the STRHS Standard of Behavior is required.Compliance to Dress Code Standards.Should this job description be filled by a PRN employee, they will be subject to the requirements of that position.While performing this job, occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employeesReports to the Director of Nursing in Skilled Care.Job RequirementsMinimum EducationMust be a graduate of a Practical Nursing Program.Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.CertificationsAHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hireLicensesLPN License for the State of Tennessee.Job: Nursing Organization: Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Winchester Title: LPN Post Acute Restorative Days Sewanee Location: Tennessee-Winchester Requisition ID: 7448-7214
