HVAC Service Technician

Aerotek is hiring for Residential HVAC Service Technicians in the Sterling, VA areaQualified candidates will perform the following: Refer to duct layouts to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair existing equipment Use diagnostic equipment to identify and address system problems Travel to homes as scheduled in their appointment slot Determine customer needs and discuss all solution methods Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness per manufacturer Conduct performance tests with specialized tools Troubleshoot current HVAC system issues and repair as needed Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and HVAC resources Follow company and industry safety guidelines and regulations Clean work area, machines, tools and supplies Perform other related duties as assignedService Technicians will work on new houses are under warranty. If there is something not functioning within the builder warranty the Service Technician will have a look and repair issues, if there are any. They will not sell any equipment, service plans, etc. They analyze and repair, nothing else.Competencies Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Thorough understanding of the installation, maintenance, and repair of various refrigeration systems Fully understand electrical, mechanical, and control systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong ability to remain organized and meet deadlines Must be able to work well with other technicians and tradesman Must be able to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawingsRequired Education and Experience 2 yrs. experience in HVAC Valid CFC Card within the first 30 days of employment Fully understands and has mastered the fundamentals of temperature and humidity measurement and control in air conditioning units Ability to work an on-call rotation that includes evenings (up to 9 pm) and weekendsPreferred Education and Experience CFC Card Nate CertificationQualified candidates who apply to this posting directly will receive an interview within 48 hours of applicationAbout Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
