Lifepoint Health has an opportunity for a Chief Operating Officer. The Chief Operating Officer will have oversight of Southern Tennessee Regional Health System located in Winchester, Tennessee.STRHS-Winchester, in conjunction with its sister campus in Sewanee, is a 198-bed acute and skilled care facility. STRHS-Winchester is a comprehensive medical facility licensed for 131 acute beds and 26 skilled care/nursing home beds and is fully accredited by the Joint Commission. The wide array of services available at Southern Tennessee Medical Center, combined with a qualified and diverse medical and nursing staff, is designed to meet the healthcare needs for the people and communities of Southern Middle Tennessee. The sister facility, located on the campus of the beautiful University of the South in Sewanee, is a 21-bed general acute care facility and a 20-bed skilled care facility which provides high quality health care for a progressive and supportive community. The nursing and support staff strive to provide individualized care directed to the specific needs of each patient. The facility at STRHS-Winchester features a 10-bed ICU, a 12-bed Geriatric Psychiatry Unit, a 12-bed Acute Inpatient Physical Rehabilitation Unit, a Skilled Nursing Unit, Sleep Lab, Cardiac Cath Lab, five OR Suites and two Endoscopy Suites. There is also a 13-bay Emergency Room with over 15,000 annual visits. The Sewanee facility has a four-bay Emergency Room that sees over 5,000 patients every year. Radiology services include MRI, CT, PET/CT, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound and X-ray.

In the absence of the hospital CEO and/or as assigned, the COO represents the CEO in coordinating entire portions of the hospital’s organization, speaking and acting within the scope of objectives set forth in the practice and/or policy of the hospital.EducationVerbal, quantitative and interpersonal skills typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelors degreeExperienceIn-depth and up-to-date knowledge of hospital administration equivalent to the knowledge acquired through the completion of a Master’s degree in hospital administration (MHA).
