Job DescriptionFull time, service-only position performing services and repairs such as (but not limited to): perform inspections, diagnose, and perform mechanical adjustments, repairs and parts replacements for fleet vehicles and mechanical equipment.Key Responsibilities
Diagnose services through proficient use of electronic testing equipment
Perform minor repairs (i.e. electrical components, power windows, power, mirrors, door locks, etc.)
Perform routine vehicle maintenance on company vehicles, fleet trucks ( i.e. mechanical work on brakes, fuel pumps, alternators, air conditioning, oil changes, tire balancing and rotation, replacing batteries, etc.)
Ensure repair orders are completed accurately including use of current parts and manufacturer updates and changes of vehicle requirements
Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
Overtime (more than 40 hours per week) may be required at times as business needs dictate
Education & Special Knowledge
2-5+ years automotive/mechanical work experience required
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Valid Driver's license and safe driving record required
CDL license with air brake certification is a plus but not required
VA State Inspection/Emissions License is a plus but not required
Physical Requirements: Must meet physical requirements for the job including the ability to lift, carry, and maneuver items up to 70 pounds, including bulky objects. These positions require repeated reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, climbing inside, onto, and under a variety of equipment. Must be able to work outside in inclement weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, dampness, and humidity. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
