Job Summary:The Nursing Supervisor assumes shift accountability for hospital operations and provides direction and assistance to the primary caregivers in patient - care areas.· Acts as a clinical and administrative resource to staff.· Coordinates and directs activities in emergency situations.· Counsels and directs unit resource nurses and staff in provision of direct nursing care.· Functions as a patient advocate. Investigates and resolves patient/customer and staff complaints.
