Maintenance Technician

Our client is looking for an experiencedMaintenance Technician.This is a direct hire opportunity with an expanding company here in Virginia Beach. Job Description : Repair and maintain shop equipment (Brakes & Shears, Crane, Welding Equipment, Plasma Cutters, Forklifts, Scaffolding, Ladders, etc.)Perform electrical work for shop equipment (changing lights and fixtures)Plumbing repairs,replacementsand installationsCarpentry repairs and installations (doors, shelves, countertops, etc.)Facility safety inspections (lighting, surveillance cameras, etc.)Ensure that all preventative maintenance is being done on scheduleCoordinate and evaluate with the Facility Maintenance / Safety Manager that all reports (weekly, monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly and yearly) are being completed.Inspect equipment and machinery and recommend repairs and / or replacementQualification / Experience Requirements : High School Diploma or equivalent experienceOver two (2) years of experience in the maintenance and repair of plant electrical, mechanical; or an equivalent combination of training and experienceBasic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical trades and OSHA Safety TrainingMust have some experience with computers Hours : Night shift Monday – Thursday 5PM – 330AMPay : Determined based on experience.Range is from $28.15 – $36.72 / Hour
