Mid-Level Subcontracts Administrator | Hybrid/Remote | Virginia Beach | 6-Month Contract-to-HireAston Carter is hiring a Mid-Level Subcontracts Administrator for a leading contractor to the U.S. Federal Government in Virginia Beach, VA! Recent Subcontracts Experience: 2-3 Years with Degree - or - 5 Years in lieu No Active Clearance Required (Must be eligible to obtain - Sponsorship Provided)Please Note: Hybrid for training before transitioning to fully remote capabilitiesDescription:

Provides Subcontract Administration support to internal organizations for various Prime and Subcontract contracts.

Reviews Purchase Order requests assuring accurate bid/proposal, sourcing, approval processes and FAR/contractual requirements are accurate.

Implements required Representations, Certifications, Terms and Conditions as well as other required forms such as FFATA, Small Business, etc. for vendor requirements prior to processing subcontracts.

Assists in negotiating agreements with Subcontractors.

Processes Costpoint Subcontract Purchase Orders and Modifications.

Works within various contract type work such as Fixed Price, Cost Plus and Time and Material.

Assures tracking logs are updated, folders are organized and compliance ready for any audit.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent with 5+ years pf recent subcontracts experience - or - 3 years of experience with Bachelors in related field - or - 1 year of experience with Masters in related field

Experience in performing subcontracts efforts such as solicitation, vendor sourcing/selection, vendor validation, negotiations, contractual agreements and purchase orders.

Understanding of the contract types such as Fixed Price, Cost Plus, Time and Materials, etc.

Ability to read and understand contract agreements and to assist in negotiating.

Must have good knowledge and experience in computer skills such as Microsoft office word, excel, data entry and outlook for email.

Must be able to work independently, follow and understand policy and procedure, follow provided priorities and stay on task following emails/assignments and work that comes in while maintaining organization to files.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Government Contracts specializing in Contracts, Subcontracts, Purchasing or Material Management.

Knowledge in FAR/DFAR clauses as they are related to government purchasing and subcontracts requirements.

Experience with Costpoint or databases used in procurement/subcontract type environments.

Working knowledge of typical Govt Subcontract Vendors.

Any experience with Government audits such as CPSR.
