Collections Specialist

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Collections Specialist in the finance industry. The role is based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, with a focus on maintaining customer credit records and handling billing related tasks. This role is a short-term contract opportunity.Responsibilities: Contacting clients to update billing information and resolve any issues. Collaborating with other teams to ensure smooth operations in Netsuite. Managing and updating customer credit applications. Monitoring customer credit accounts and initiating actions for delinquent payments. Utilizing accounting software systems to maintain accurate customer records. Employing Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze data. Managing billing functions and collection processes effectively. Providing excellent customer service while handling credit and collection processes. Utilizing your knowledge in the field of credit to enhance the company's operations. Adhering to company policies and regulations during all processes. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Collections Specialist or in a related role Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Familiarity with Billing Functions and Collection Processes Experience as a Collector Understanding of Credit systems Exceptional Customer Service skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Proven track record of achieving collection targets Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field is a plus.
