As an Associate HRBP for Dorman, you will provide support in the areas of employee relations, performance management, benefits, HR compliance, process improvement and compensation. Primary Duties

Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation for contributors and management.

Assist contributors with day-to-day HR inquiries; work directly with HR contributors in Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, etc. to ensure contributor questions are answered thoroughly and in a timely manner.

Manage and resolve employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.

Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to affect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.

Stay abreast of employment laws and use that knowledge to support management in the day-to-day management of contributors.

Support HR compliance initiatives to reduce legal risks and ensure legal compliance; partner with legal departments as needed/required.

Work collaboratively with the Operations Manager to improve business results and meet objectives.

Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with leaders, and the HR Operations teams to develop improved solutions, programs and policies.

Partner with business to ensure a safe work environment that guarantees compliance to regulation and meets site safety goals.

Qualifications

Occasional travel required.

Ability to work with limited supervision and under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Must be confident and able to handle difficult situations independently.

Must be able to work with contributors at all levels of the organization.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Basic understanding of compensation concepts, principles, and practices.

Knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, case law, principles, and practices related to employee conduct, performance, and dispute resolution.

Proficient in performance management concepts, principles, and practices related to planning, monitoring, rating, and rewarding employee performance.

Knowledge of HR concepts, principles, and practices related to employee benefit and workers compensation programs.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field; PHR is preferred.

3+ years HR generalist experience.
