DescriptionICF seeks a Graphic Designer to support on-site work with one of our Federal clients in Vienna, Virginia. ICF provides this client with support services related to instructional systems design (ISD), marketing, business analysis, multimedia services, learning systems, and training facility management. As a Graphic Designer, you will produce high-quality print and web-based graphics, content, and animations.This role will work 2 days a week on-site in Vienna, VA at the client’s offices.Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the creative team to design high quality graphic products that may include illustrations, photographs, logos, SharePoint sites, multimedia animations, and motion graphics, supporting program outreach initiatives such as social media campaigns, conferences, and NHI training activities.
Develop layouts based on layout principles and aesthetic concepts, working closely with clients to understand project requirements, target audience, and key messaging.
Create conceptual designs and layouts, such as sketches, drawings, typographic layouts, and markups.
Contribute to the assembly of final print layouts and create visually appealing design layouts for print projects.
Create content for web pages and SharePoint sites, such as web banners or infographics, and electronic media format, coordinating with the FHWA webmaster and OTS marketing team.
Provide expertise in graphic design production to program managers.
Review and ensure the quality of graphic design deliverables.
Basic Qualifications
10 years of professional graphic design experience.
1 year of experience with Adobe Creative Suite products (e.g., Photoshop; Illustrator; InDesign).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with visual, communications, or design focus.
Experience applying graphic design to instructional design products (e.g., training visual aids).
Experience incorporating graphic design into video production projects.
Experience designing graphics for social media accounts, campaigns, and communications.
Strong communication skills to be the intermediary between creative staff and SMEs.
Detailed knowledge of Section 508 compliance requirements as it relates to design and layout.
Nimble, innovative, and self-driven.
Location
