The Sr. Manager, Strategic Marketing – Public Sector will oversee key aspects of defining and positioning the services, solutions, and products that Optiv + ClearShark offers to partners and government customers, as well as overseeing the digital marketing strategy and marketing technology stack for the federal business line.This role is responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing communications strategies, plans, messages, and programs to effectively communicate with the marketplace. They will also be responsible for managing the budget associated to Strategic Marketing and will be responsible for key fiscal and governance decisions.The Sr. Manager, Strategic Marketing will create and sustain communications programs and initiatives that build strong and lasting brand recognition/loyalty and client satisfaction, as well as increased demand for Optiv + ClearShark services and solutions using a wide range of mediums. The owner of the branding and corporate market-facing content, the Sr. Manager, Strategic Marketing will be responsible for writing or reviewing/editing, managing, promoting and measuring/reporting the value a variety of marketing materials for Optiv + ClearShark, including but not limited to, company and client messaging, content marketing development and promotion, sales collateral, video scripts, trade show content, multi-channel advertising, direct marketing campaigns, promotional materials, case studies, web copy, fact sheets, newsletters and social media content.The successful candidate must be a proactive program manager with very strong leadership skills with an ability to work independently at both the strategic level as well as an operational and tactical level – from developing strategic plans and budgets, to formulating, reviewing and advising on creative briefs, to drafting copy and conceptualizing visual assets that will be used for outbound marketing and packaged into a variety of marketing tools for sales teams and partners. Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to orchestrate many moving parts under an aggressive schedule are a must. Attractive candidates will bring strong high tech and/or cyber security experience.The Sr. Manager, Strategic Marketing will also play a pivotal role in ensuring Optiv + ClearShark’s adherence to Federal and State/Local regulations associated with what, how and to whom we can market and drive outbound communications. Ensuring we remain compliant to these stringent regulations is massively critical and has direct impact on Optiv + ClearShark’s ability to operate in the US Public Sector.To achieve these goals, the role will require proven experience in leading marketing teams, brand marketing, and strategic campaign planning and a strong understanding of the U.S. Public Sector landscape.How you'll make an impactThe Sr. Manager, Strategic Marketing – Public Sector will work with various departments within Optiv and Optiv + ClearShark, as well as external partners, to define and position the services and solutions that Optiv + ClearShark offers to partners and customers.

Develop company’s overall marketing communication strategy, including creation and communication of annual marketing plan aligned with overall corporate strategy.

Develop and manage an annual corporate marketing budget, including investments and expenditures with respective return on investment.

Build and develop marketing team responsible for branding, corporate communications, marketing campaigns, and operations to support all marketing efforts.

Build and manage a Public Sector compliance plan to ensure adherence to Federal and State/Local regulations associated with marketing and communications to Public Sector entities.

Understand key marketing trends and determine applicability for Optiv + ClearShark.

Create and maintain a successful brand and image that attracts Government customers and industry partners to ClearShark’s capabilities and offerings in a manner compliant with federal contracting regulations.

Develop the strategies and manage marketing communications programs and implementation to help drive demand for Optiv + ClearShark services and solutions and achieve strategic, marketing and revenue goals.

Ensure ClearShark’s marketing position is competitive amongst peer companies

Maintain understanding of available industry marketing tools to develop an integrated approach for ClearShark.

Overseeing company’s content marketing and social media marketing strategy.

Work closely with the creative team to execute projects from concept to completion, translating marketing concepts into creative strategies, and supporting the business in the production of brand building programs, promotional programs and marketing collateral.

Develop compelling and consistent content and work with the creative team to ensure the high quality production of marketing materials such as: collateral, tradeshow content, videos, websites, digital and print advertising, social media, white papers, case studies, data sheets, newsletters, signage, videos, email and direct mail, and postcards, among other materials.

Coordinate quality assurance and approval processes including copy edits, prooing, revisions and release approvals.

Help ensure the Optiv + ClearShark brand guide is consistently used throughout the organization.

Manage relationships with Optiv internal clients, collaborate closely with project teams and prioritize project completion to achieve business goals. Manage relationships with outside vendors as necessary.

Analyze and report on marketing communications activity and the effectiveness of marketing communications programs and use results to optimize marketing communications programs.

Provide leadership, direction and mentoring to direct report(s) with responsibilities for all facets of marketing communications performed by the department.

Provide backup support for media and internal communications.

Manage other projects that emerge.

What we're looking for

10+ years’ experience in any combination of: sales, marketing, business development, partner management, channel sales and management.

8+ years’ experience in the US Public Sector, either directly as an employee of a US governmental agency or in a supplier to the US Government

Proven track record of leading marketing teams for a minimum of 5 years.

Demonstrated experience in establishing and managing a $1M+ marketing budget

Experience with digital marketing forms such as social media marketing and content marketing.

Experience with Government-focused content creation preferred.

Demonstrated leadership of marketing content, campaigns, and solutions calibrated for Public Sector and Federal customers.

Industry experience in U.S. Public Sector and leading-edge IT solutions.

Successful ownership and leadership in projects and programs that drive additional revenue.

Understanding of sales forecasts and marketing cost management.

Innovative approaches to marketing, positioning, and sales enablement.

Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration and achieving team goals.

Excellent written and oral communication in marketing copy and technical writing.

Desired experience:

Experience in product marketing and/or brand management in IT, networking or security.

Experience in the channel resale and distribution business.

Experience in working with diverse groups such as sales, marketing, technical professionals.

Knowledge of CRM and ERP systems like Salesforce and Marketo

Business development and partner management.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or technical field and/or MBA.
