Category Management Strategists work closely together supporting their respective categories and collectively work as a larger team to develop a consistent and collaborative approach. The strategist works directly with their category managers in development of category strategies, with program teams for early engagement to align future forecasts with appropriate suppliers, and with engineering to influence designs based on supplier capabilities.This role is 100% remotePosition Summary / Responsibilities:

Responsible for execution of Category Strategy

Maintains summary of category managed supplier capabilities and capacity

Assists with cost reduction coordination to support annual goals

Provides sourcing guidance based upon supplier knowledge of technology and capacity

Gathers intelligence and monitors emerging trends for a broad industry knowledge base to identify vulnerabilities based on geopolitical data to ensure continuous operations

Collects data using various tools, intelligence methods, and business processes to enable supply base forecasting

Solicits Program Management Office for forecasting data for improved supplier order readiness

Partner with Technologist to ensure alternate designs are considered throughout the organization

Basic Qualification:

Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of experience in Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Project Management, Business Management, strategic sourcing, quality, operations, or other relevant and related experience; 7+ years with Master's degree

Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and execute complex plans

Successful candidate shall be a self-starter and able to set priorities and multi-task

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Strong presentation skills and ability to address complex topics with senior leadership, customers, and suppliers

US Citizen

This position may be fully remote with up to 10% travel required

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering

Cables & Connectors experience

5+ years of team lead and/or management of people

Strong familiarity with Small Business Regulations, FAR and DFAR Regulations

Salary Range: $121,000 - $181,400The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
