TradeForce Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting an experienced Lead Belt Vulcanizer who is interested in a long-term opportunity with a well-established company that specializes in maintenance and installation of conveyor systems.
Project Information:
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Raven, VA (shop location)
Hours: Full time Monday – Friday, 8hr days
Project Duration: Ongoing
Pay Rate: $25.00hr DOE/No per diem
Job description:
Install new conveyor belt.
Change out existing conveyor belt.
Repair or splicing of conveyor belt.
Maintenance or changing of mechanical systems that transfer conveyor belt.
Ensures equipment is maintained in proper working order to avoid injury and work areas are kept clean/free of hazards which may endanger the health/safety of any employee.
Experience:
One year plus of conveyor belt experience
Familiarity with all hot vulcanized splicing techniques is required.
Must possess basic belt maintenance and or conveyor belt vulcanizing knowledge.
Applicants must have a fundamental understanding of conveyance systems.
Knowledge of pulley lagging; changing of pulleys
Physical requirements:
Must have full range of mobility in upper and lower body.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday.
Must have ability to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time.
