Systems Engineer to assess, design, and develop automated cloud-based requirements and architectures and develop derived requirements and systems engineering artifacts into advanced cloud infrastructure, management, and operations.Responsibilities include:Providing Systems Engineering project leadership in support of a large, leading edge cybersecurity system.Coordinating teams in the development, integration, and testing of advanced leading-edge cybersecurity, with the assistance of the Design & Development Lead and Chief EngineerInterfacing directly with the Customer, stakeholders, and end-users regarding priorities, capability architectures, requirements, use cases, and stories to derive, develop and decompose next-cycle updates and specificationsRepresenting the voice of the user in developmentCollaborating within Agile Release Trains and Agile TeamsSupporting risk assessments and developing risk mitigation countermeasuresProviding Systems Engineering expertise and leadership in support of a large cybersecurity systemRequired Skills:Must be a US CitizenMust be able to obtain DHS SuitabilityMust have an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance10+ years of directly relevant systems engineering experience such as allocation of hardware and software requirements, development of use cases and stories, detailed design of system components, and direct automation / orchestration experience with larger systems6+ years direct experience with Google cloud deployment and management toolsProven leadership skills and meaningful experience successfully leading large teamsAble to effectively work as a leader, in a group, or as an independent individual contributorExperience working in an Agile development environment in a leadership rolePossesses or quickly develops a comprehensive understanding of Government Information Security policies, regulations, and guidelinesExpertise in automation of infrastructure - deployment, configuration, and orchestrationDirect experience with scripting in JSON, YAML, HCL, Python, bash/PSH and/or CloudFormation/ TerraformDesired Skills:Experience leading teams and projects at either the tech lead or product owner levelFamiliarity with Jenkins, Artifactory, Jira, Git, Ansible, Chef, AWS lambda, terraform or cloud native tools like cloudformationProgramming experience (Java, Javascript, .Net, Python, or Ruby)Familiarity with using, updating, and programmatically manipulating Linux and WindowsExperience with NTP, DNS, Networking, LDAP, or Software repositoriesExperience with branching and release strategies, CI/CD Pipelines,AWS cloud technology knowledge and implementation experienceExperience designing and implementing event driven microservice architecturesExperience in technical oversight of individuals and projectsExperience working in DevOps and/or DevSecOps environmentsScaled Agile Framework (SAFe) knowledge and experienceRequired Education:Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field.
