Systems Engineer

Contingent to contract award.The contractor will be required to perform the following tasks:

Interface with technical professionals to assist in creating, editing, formatting, publishing, and archiving engineering documents and briefing materials.

Conduct quality assurance checks for engineering documents and briefing materials prior to Government release.

Facilitate and support various technical meetings and design reviews.

Provide requirements management support using DOORS for system portfolios.

Develop and maintain DOORS database, ensuring accurate capabilities, requirements, traceability, and document verification.

Analyze and integrate requirement deliverables, manage document traces, and perform trace analyses.

Provide general systems engineering support, review technical deliverables, and conduct technical analyses on system designs and proposed changes.

Develop and update Department of Defense Architecture Framework for systems.

Provide manufacturing and quality support, including analysis, product quality assurance, and production risk management.

Prepare manufacturing and quality sections of acquisition documents and conduct engineering assessments.

Experience and Skills:

Thorough understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies.

Proven experience in requirements management, preferably using Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS).

Expertise in managing and maintaining databases for system requirements and document verification.

Proficient in developing DOORS architectures, structures, processes, and procedures.

Ability to perform trace analyses and generate comprehensive reports.

Skilled in evaluating designs, engineering changes, and technical deliverables across various platforms.

Experience in conducting technical analyses of system and subsystem designs.

Proficiency in analyzing hardware and software engineering change proposals (ECPs).

Capability to develop and present briefs, white papers, and technical analyses.

Active participation in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), Design Reviews, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and Working Integrated Product Teams (WIPTs).

Expertise in manufacturing and quality assurance, including production planning and analysis, quality inspections, and risk management.

Ability to handle and manage information at the SECRET classification level.

Requirements

U.S. Citizenship required.

Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering).

Advanced degree preferred.

In lieu of a degree, 15 years of relevant experience.
