Overview
Are you ready to take your analytical skills up a notch and help fuel innovation? Our client is one of the leading utility companies in the Washington, DC Metro area, and is looking for several Business Analysts. In this role, you will support a few pipeline initiatives, reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs. Previous Agile experience will be very helpful. Work is currently being performed REMOTELY but candidates must be local to the Springfield, VA area. Our client is unable to offer sponsorship at this time. Responsibilities- Work closely with business users to perform business/requirements analysis in support of multiple projects
- Collaborate with Scrum Master, developers, PM's, Product Owners, and business partners to design, develop and implement enterprise applications
- Determine operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, evaluating output requirements and formats
- Conduct As-Is, To-Be, design sessions and present findings
- Construct business process models, workflow charts, diagrams, and documentation; study system capabilities; write specifications, build and manage product backlog: Epics, Features, user stories, Acceptance criteria
- 5 years of Business Analyst experience
- Experience in the area of DIMP (Distribution Integrity Management Program), Leak Management/Mitigation, Leak Analytics, or Integrity Management
- Familiarity with front-end/requirements gathering and facilitation
- Comfortable working with business at all levels (up to executive)
- Excellent communication and writing skills (to generate presentations, artifacts, documents)
- Experienced in Utility-specific environment (work management, customer billing/information, GIS-related systems)
