Pay: $24.40Position Description:This position is responsible to work in a safe manner, while producing maximum quality product with minimal scrap, and maintaining or enhancing housekeeping. Must have or develop an understanding of Continuous Improvement Initiatives for 2020 and support the efforts to improve the operation.Responsibilities and Primary Duties:
Start up, respond, troubleshoot and restore flow on automated lines.
Monitor and adjust machine settings, using set up specs, to ensure quality standards are achieved and maximum daily output is met.
Using set up specs, effectively complete change over automation and machine automation to ensure quality product with minimal downtime.
Maintain budgeted line speed, and scrap. Monitor speed, output, and scrap regularly. Be observant of trends or areas of improvement and offer suggestions for remediation.
Ensure the accuracy of production documents: Production report, Ignition, Scrap, Downtime, Cases, Quality checks, etc.
Understand the camera system and be able to use it to troubleshoot and communicate with Maintenance.
Meet once a month with Shift Leader to evaluate your performance and training needs.
Understand, promote, assist and adhere to all Environmental, Health and Safety Principles and be accountable to them at all times.
Be accountable for assuring compliance with EHS Policies and support the facility safety, environmental and health programs including participation in monthly safety and informational meetings.
Follow all SQF and GMP practices and programs to ensure safe food packaging product and report food safety problems to those with authority to take action.
Participate in covering overtime as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
Observe all safety policies and procedures.
Actively participate in all safety programs
Ensure that good Housekeeping/6s is performed to keep the department safe and free of unnecessary clutter.
Ensure that Good Manufacturing Practices are followed at all times.
Train other employees upon request in good automation practices
Participate in and support continuous improvements efforts
Perform other duties as assigned by Shift Lead Assistant or Shift Supervisor.

We need you to have:
High School diploma or equivalent
2+ years of previous manufacturing experience
Ability to perform physically demanding job activities.
Ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift.
Preferred Skills:
Previous Mechatronics experience
Electronics or Robotics experience
High school equivalent math and reading skills
Troubleshooting skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize/prioritize work and utilize all work time effectively.
Basic computer skills required to work with SAP/Ignition and more advanced skills required to work with automation: Ex” AAGARD changeovers
Written and verbal communication skills
Good interpersonal skills
Conflict resolution skills
Physical / Working Conditions:
non climate-controlled environment.
Stamina sufficient to function effectively and sustain up to and including 12 hours of work.
Require lifting up to 35 lbs.
Physical dexterity and manual agility required.
Physical coordination necessary to be able to move quickly and safely.
Icing on the cake:
Manufacturing experience in a heavy industrial setting
Prior experience in the consumer product goods industry
