Currently seeking full-time Diesel Mechanic responsible for performing basic repairs and preventive maintenance for fleet of Western Star, Freightliner, and Sterling dump trucks and trailers. Experience with Western Star equipment, Detroit, and Allison engines a plus.
We’re looking for a mechanic experienced in repairing and replacing minor issues such as lights, brakes, hoses, diagnostics, changing tires, etc. All trucks in our fleet are under extended warranties.
Candidate must be reliable and ready to work when scheduled.

Job Responsibilities
Perform nightly routine maintenance on trucks, such as checking batteries and changing oil to ensure proper vehicle running while constantly utilizing safety precautions
Inspect various parts of trucks, including brake systems, wheel bearings and steering mechanisms to ensure they are in the proper condition to operate effectively
Move vehicle for entering and exiting shop for repairs or parking
Replace parts, valves, bearings and gears as needed and repair vehicle cooling and heating systems
Measure vehicle emissions to ensure they are in the proper limits
Ensure parts conform to factory and warranty specifications by inspecting and verifying clearances and dimensions
Job Skills & Qualifications
Must be able to work independently and lift heavy equipment and parts regularly
Must be detail oriented
Previous experience as a diesel mechanic

Salary: $50,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year (DOE)
Schedule: 8 hour shift
Experience: Diesel engine repair: 1 year (Preferred)
Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
