C L Essentials, Inc. is looking for responsible drivers to deliver our clients' freight safely, securely, and satisfactorily throughout Virginia.
Job Responsibilities:
Must be extremely flexible.
Deliver packages/freight on a flexible schedule as required. Sometimes, you may drive on a predetermined route and schedule. Other times you may be on call.
Document deliveries or log other shipment information as specified by each client.
Comply with all local, state, and federal requirements and contract expectations, policies, and procedures for C L Essentials and the Client; maintain a clean and safe truck by inspecting for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
Maneuver vans or trucks into loading or unloading positions
Perform all contract obligations as scheduled by dispatch and assist other drivers to meet customer needs. You may have to fill in for someone on off hours in an emergency as others will be expected to fill in for you.
Notify dispatch of any incidents, accidents, injures, or property damage or any problems that may arise on the route.
Follow your route dispatch and complete all end of day documentation, upload pictures and follow check-out process.
Minimum Requirements:
Must provide your own Vehicle (cargo van or sprinter van) and have a valid Virginia state driver’s license
Must carry $100k/$300k/$100k Insurance policy.
Must own and be able to operate an iPhone smartphone properly, be able to utilize navigation tools effectively, and work comfortably with different apps
No violations or accidents in the last 3 years (or no more than 1 minor violation in the last 5 years or no more than 5 points on your driving record) and adhere to safe driving standards
No felony convictions in the last 10 years
Must be able to pass a required drug screen
Must be able to lift, carry and/or maneuver bulky items weighing up to 70 lbs (with the help of a dolly).
Must be able to climb into and out of van or truck repeatedly and frequently throughout the day
Must follow prescribed dress code

Must have a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Proven driving experience
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Ability to communicate and write in English
