How You Will Make an Impact:
As the HVAC Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing HVAC and refrigeration units across our company's facilities and vehicles, both at our Richmond and Norfolk locations. In addition, you'll collaborate with our vending service and installation division, contributing to its success as an augmented team member. Some of your responsibilities will be:
HVAC Systems/Refrigeration Units (approximately 60% of your time):
Responsible for inspecting, repairing, modifying, and installing HVAC equipment in all company buildings
Conduct regular preventative maintenance on building HVAC equipment and commercial refrigerators
Responsible for repairing and conducting regular maintenance on all walk-in coolers and freezers in company
buildings and cooling units on company trucks
Monitor the alerts on walk-in coolers and install monitoring devices on newly acquired units
If more specialized assistance is needed for certain units, be responsible for managing communication with the
service contractor
Vending Service & Installation (approximately 40% of your time):
Respond to service calls on vending machines, kiosks, and water and coffee units (training provided)
Assist with micro-market and vending machine installs
Assist with in-house refurb work, including compressor decks for reach in coolers and vending machines
Service restaurant equipment such as ovens, tilt skillets, smokers, etc. (training provided)
What You Bring to the Table:
3+ years of commercial HVAC experience
Experience working on commercial refrigeration units
Valid Driver’s License
5+ years of safe driving record
Certified HVAC Technician preferred
Able to travel - approximately 3-4 overnight trips a month
The Good Stuff:
$28-34/hr, depending on experience
