Superior Skilled Trades is Hiring a Master Licensed Electrician in Stony Creek, VA

Pay: $55-$60/hour (based on experience)

Hours: 10-hour shifts, 6 days per week (60 hours/week)

Schedule: Monday-Saturday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Start Date: 03/10/2025

Project Duration: 4+ months

Master Electrician Job Description:

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Master Licensed Electrician for a commercial construction project.

Responsibilities include:

Connecting wires to plugs, switches, controls, light fixtures, motors, Solar PV panels, disconnects, fuses, breaker panels, and switchboards.

Splicing wires using appropriate techniques and tools, including making underground waterproof splices.

Testing installations for continuity, compatibility, and safety using test equipment (e.g., ohmmeters, ammeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes).

Measuring, cutting, bending, threading, and installing electrical conduit, junction boxes, and switchboards.

Inspecting and maintaining electrical equipment for efficiency and compliance with the National Electrical Code.

Pulling wire through conduit and preparing materials for common repair work.

Performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and responding to emergency power failures.

Assisting with new construction inspections and underground wiring location.

Training and supervising apprentices as needed.

Qualifications of the Master Electrician

Must hold a valid Master Electrician License.

Ability to obtain necessary permits for electrical work.

Experience reading blueprints and schematics to determine materials and methods.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and troubleshooting techniques.

Ability to stand, crouch, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.

Must have PPE: steel-toe boots, hard hat, gloves, high-visibility vest, and safety glasses.

Must own standard electrical hand tools.

Additional Requirements of the Master Electrician

Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Clean background check and drug test
