As a crucial part of our production process, casting technicians are responsible for building and casting all bed frames. This includes maintaining the crucible temperature and zinc level, ensuring a clean work area, and performing tube cutting, bending, and light MIG welding. They also keep all prep materials fully stocked and follow all safety requirements for the area.
Responsibilities and Duties
-Able to identify beds
-Know which jigs are needed according to work order
-How to set up jig, use crane
-Know what casts are required for each bed
-Know what rods are needed for each bed
-How to fill and replace crucible
-Wear proper PPE for area and follow all safety rules
-MIG welding is required for the area
-How to drill out day beds
-Proper pouring techniques and speed to pour each cast
-Able to use cold cut saw
Qualifications
-High School Degree
-Able to lift 50lbs./stand all-day
-1 to 3 years of manufacturing experience
-Strong verbal and communication skills
-Knowledge of power tools
Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm
