Immediate opening for a responsible individual to join our team of weekend docents at Weston Manor, located at 400 Weston Lane, Hopewell VA. Weekend docents typically work one or two weekend days per month, but may choose to work additional days if available. Saturday hours are 9:45 am – 4:30 pm, and Sunday hours are 12:45 pm to 4:30 pm. Duties include greeting visitors and providing tours of Weston Manor, a historic house museum; answering the phone; handling money; and opening and closing the house and the adjacent All Manor of Things boutique. Candidate must be able to walk up and down stairs and to work independently. History related education, background, or interests is preferred. Salary $12 per hour.
