Production Manager

Starting salary based on experience

Summary

Assign all projects to personnel and provide guidance on completing project, communicate and coordinate with Plant Manager on schedule deadlines and priorities, assign projects. Assure quality standards are upheld. This role reports to the Operations Manager

Responsibilities

Management employees to meet production targets

Ensure all employees wear safety glasses and PPE

Monitor quality standards of production (AWI, QCP)

Manage improvement ideas to production quality standards

Completes special requests as required by Operation Manager

Manage Shop Supervisors ensuring all Supervisors wear radios

Attend production meetings with Operation Manager as scheduled

Managing overtime, training employees, & enforcing quality control

Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety policies

Sign off on any and all purchases for shop, supplies, consumables and tooling

Assign projects to Production Department keeping priorities in line with production schedule

Support all Assembly personnel by providing guidance, answering questions, and troubleshooting problems

Assure quality standards are upheld

This role reports to the Operation Manager

Communicate production floor progress to Operation Manager, make adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines

Monitor and review the performance of team members and organize necessary interventions for improvement

Work with other department Supervisors communicating any needs & requests to meet production deadlines and schedule

Requirements-

Possess knowledge, skills and abilities of Plant Floor Supervisor / Manager in a custom Woodworking environment

Experience with AWI Architectural Millwork Manufacturing atmosphere

Advanced skills in reading, interpreting and troubleshooting engineer blueprints and cut bill

Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Project PAK, Bluebeam On-Screen Takeoff

Skill to follow production schedule and keep production on track to meet deadlines

Knowledge of AWI and LEED Standards

Skill to organize production paperwork

High school diploma at a minimum
