Job Description: RCTS is expanding its team with the addition of a Trial Technician. This position requires local and out of state travel to wherever trials are being held. You'll be pivotal in managing courtroom technology, organizing exhibits, and ensuring smooth presentation of evidence. Previous experience with trial presentation software OnCue and TrialDirector is desired. Responsibilities include setting up, operating, and breaking down trial equipment in different courtroom and war room settings, exhibit bates stamping, video synching, organizing, and managing any other materials and evidence provided by a client. You will troubleshoot technical issues during trials, assist in editing presentations depending on the course of proceedings, and serve as the main point of contact for all things tech related for a client including the afterhours support. We seek candidates with experience in trial support, a strong grasp of legal procedures, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Traveling to trials (we cover travel, lodging, and meal expenses)
Set up and operate trial presentation technology
Organize exhibits, documents, and evidence for legal proceedings
Ensure smooth operation of courtroom technology
Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise
Set up and manage equipment in war rooms
Collaborate with legal teams to prepare evidence for presentation
A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Adhere to legal procedures and guidelines throughout legal proceedings
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant work experience (Required)
Flexibility to travel (Required)
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, including Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint, Teams etc.
Previous experience in trial support or a related field (Preferred)
Proficiency in trial presentation software, including OnCue and TrialDirector (Preferred)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure
Audio/visual equipment familiarity
Understanding of legal procedures and guidelines
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
