Shift: 7AM - 6PM; 4 days a week (employees work 4 days, 10-hr shifts with one of the days off between Monday - Friday); no weekends!
Pay: $18-22/hr.
Location: Oilville, VA
Material Handler Job Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret orders needed for shipment, accurately pulling attachments from the yard by reading the part number/item codes.
- Mainly will be working in the prep area, handling with construction parts and attachments, refurbishing and ensuring they are ready for shipment
- Washing and drying attachments
- Grinding rust and imperfections from attachments, as well as performing minor repairs/refurbishing (e.g., Taking pins out, swapping teeth, remove pins)
- Use metal strapping machine to band pallets.
- Work with teammates and demonstrate effective communication skills.
- Operate sit down forklifts to load/unload materials from trucks
- Perform heavy lifting as needed throughout the day, upwards to 50+ lbs. Listen and follow directions and ALWAYS be ready to be trained on new things.
Material Handler Job Requirements:
- Experience with hand tools or power tools / being mechanical inclined is a must (must have work experience with using hand/power tools)
- At minimum 6+ mos. of RECENT sit-down forklift experience required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors and in a warehouse
- Strong time management and a willingness to learn
