We are currently seeking a full-time

Software Delivery Quality Assurance Engineerto join our

Richmond, Virginiaoffice location. The Quality Assurance Engineer works with the rest of the QA team to demonstrate commitment to excellence by consistently providing high-quality software that meets our clients’ needs. The role assists project teams in all phases of the project lifecycle by creating testing collateral, test strategies, and executing tests, supporting client UAT cycles, and working closely with other team members to meet sprint and project goals. While the role needs to be able to function mostly autonomously, it will also receive support and mentorship from other team members and the QA Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesof a successful candidate include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide quality assurance services to a variety of support clients for both web and mobile applications
  • Create test strategy documents and test collateral (test cases, checklists) for all assigned projects
  • Attend and actively participate in all sprint ceremonies
  • Support web and mobile project teams by coordinating and executing testing throughout the sprints and provide prompt feedback to developers
  • Meet or exceed all deliverable deadlines (or else proactively communicate impediments to project teams and/or clients)
  • Assist clients with UAT communication and coordination
  • Offer feedback to other QA team members and regularly review deliverables
  • Successfully and autonomously manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Be an integral part of a self-organizing QA team

Qualifications

Skills/Requirementsof a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Must possess exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Must show steady commitment to the QA team values of excellence, teamwork, communication, integrity, accountability, and consistency
  • Must show interest and willingness to continually learn and improve
  • Must be willing to learn and use new technologies
  • Must exhibit good software user instincts
  • Must be able to to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must demonstrate reliability, integrity, and steady commitment to excellence
  • Experience with agile/iterative methodologies preferred
