Our team is responsible for communicating and marketing prioritized learning experiences and resources, change management communications, and building associate engagement with our products and services.This position requires an excellent and versatile writer. Whether it’s a blog post, an external article, a Google slide presentation, or a Slack marketing ad, we are looking for someone who can write clearly, concisely, and engage an audience. Capital One associates are inundated with messages and information throughout the day. This communicator needs to be able to cut through the outside noise and make an impact on our audience.This position requires exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills; experience consulting across teams; the ability to lead projects and work with multiple stakeholders or partners to meet objectives; and a proven track record of building trusted relationships and influencing key stakeholders to achieve the best results with associates, customers and the business in mind.Our Ideal Candidate Should Have:

Experience working closely with leadership to build out, manage, and execute strategic, creative communication campaigns through editorial, video, and graphic content

The ability to collaborate with teams across the enterprise to write engaging and compelling content

Knowledge to use traditional marketing channels, communications tactics, change management practices, and social media

Experience leveraging measurement plans and data to formulate and flex change strategies and campaigns

Experience developing and executing successful end-to-end communications strategies

Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills

The ability to present complex, subject matter in a clear, concise, and compelling manner

Expertise in relationship building with proven ability to work effectively with multiple constituents, including peers, executive leaders, and senior management

The ability to flip back and forth from strategy to tactics quickly

Self-motivation with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize

Strong presentation skills and engaging professional presence

The ability to work as part of a team, in an open and collaborative environment, and stay calm under pressure to manage changing priorities

A mindset that easily adapts to change and takes on a growth mindset approach

Creative, integrative problem-solving and structured thinking

Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities Include:

Build and execute strategic communications plans

Lead with the customer and translate needs into thoughtful strategy

Write, proo, and edit communications needed to support strategic plans

Effectively leverage a suite of communication channels - like email, Slack, video, internal social computing platforms, and social - while innovating on new channel opportunities

Work effectively in cross-functional teams to advance the team and leadership’s communication strategy and implement a range of creative solutions to reach key target audiences

Maintain an open and inclusive team environment. Able to manage and prioritize work while consistently delivering results.

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree or military experience

At least 2 years of experience in marketing or advertising communications or a combination

Preferred Qualifications:

Writing portfolio that showcases proficiency across platforms and styles of communication

At least 2 years of experience in a communications role within Capital One or another Fortune 500 company

At least 2 years of experience with Google Suite, email marketing platforms (Vessel or LumApps intranet)
