Sales & Use Tax Accountant

Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Sales & Use Tax Accountant in the automotive industry, based in Richmond, Virginia. The role is primarily remote and will involve working within our indirect tax department. Responsibilities Responsible for the accurate preparation of Sales & Use Tax Returns Conduct research on various tax compliance matters Analyze variances and provide insight on significant differences Ensure the updating of tax rates in the spreadsheet to reflect growth and business acquisitions Review source data to ensure it complies with relevant tax laws Utilize Microsoft Excel for various tasks and data managementRequirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the automotive industry Expertise in Sales Tax and Sales Tax Returns In-depth knowledge of Tax - Sales & Use Proficiency in Indirect Tax Compliance Extensive experience in Corporate Tax Compliance Proficiency in Excel Strong skills in Variance Analysis Comprehensive understanding of Tax Law Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
