Description As a Payroll Analyst, you will process semi-monthly payroll for moderately complex payrolls, ensuring compliance with both US and local state regulations. Consulting, performing research, analyzing data and resolving complex problems are core tasks of this role. The Payroll Analyst will directly report to the Payroll Manager.Responsibilities:

Ensuring accuracy of payroll using Workday and Perspective Concepts (ImageNow), verifying payroll data integrity, and analyzing payroll performance.

Identifying, troubleshooting, and documenting resolutions for payroll issues.

Performing complex analysis on major business issues and recommending sustainable solutions.

Reviewing, compiling, and analyzing detailed statistics and data for significant business issues and providing guidance.

Building relationships with key stakeholders and addressing business needs proactively.

Leading process improvement projects and participating in system initiatives.

Developing and designing new business processes and suggesting improvements.

Monitoring for potential risks and evaluating the implications on payroll processes.

Reviewing payroll changes, regulations, and laws to determine appropriate handling and providing guidance to local payroll functions.

Providing oversight, direction, and expertise to local payroll functions.

Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of unique payroll policies and procedures for the system.

Cross-training for new or existing staff.

Requirements

· Associate or Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance preferred or equivalent experience.· 3-5 years’ prior payroll experience including multi-state payroll processing for large organizations· Workday knowledge required.· Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.· Critical thinking, data analysis and presentation skills· Proficient interpersonal skills and ability to work with people at all levels of the organization· Requires creativity, innovation, and initiative to research and recommend operational changes· Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills requiredRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
