Description A Robert Half client is looking for a Communications Specialist in Richmond, VA. As the Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing effective communication strategies that align with the department's goals. Your role will involve creating and delivering compelling content across various channels, ensuring timely and relevant messaging, and measuring the impact of their communications efforts. Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Communication: Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies, including key messaging, channels, and campaigns, to support the Customer Service Division PMO.

Content Creation: Create and deliver engaging written and digital content, such as emails, newsletters, intranet posts, videos, and presentations, tailored to our diverse audience.

Content Management: Manage a content calendar to ensure timely and relevant communication delivery, maintaining consistency and alignment with our strategic plan.

Metrics and Reporting: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of our communications initiatives and make data-driven adjustments.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure clear, consistent, and impactful communication that supports departmental goals.

Survey Management: Establish and maintain a library of survey templates to gather valuable feedback and insights.

Tool Proficiency: Demonstrate expert-level skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, Forms, Adobe, Canva, and other relevant communication tools.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Journalism, Marketing/Advertising, or a related field.

5+ years of experience developing written and digital content for employees, customers, stakeholders, and executive audiences.

Excellent oral, written, and editing skills, with the ability to create clear, persuasive, and engaging content.

Strong understanding of audience-based communication best practices.

Proven ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Excellent time management and prioritization skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience developing communication strategies for large-scale projects.

Knowledge of customer service, billing, and field operations within the water and gas utility industry.

Project management experience.

Proficiency in WordPress.
