Responsibilities:
Provide leadership for the sales team, managing day-to-day operations of the sales department.
Make decisions regarding hiring, evaluation, promotion, and termination of employees.
Develop and execute sales strategies to exceed revenue targets across local, new business, and digital platforms.
Drive new business development while managing inventory and revenue forecasting.
Recruit, train, evaluate, and develop sales professionals.
Prepare budgets and approve budget expenditures.
Manage accounts receivable.
Develop and cultivate client relationships alongside Account Executives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Mass Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
Minimum three to five years of multiplatform media sales experience preferred.
Working knowledge of the local digital and media advertising landscape, including linear, display, video, programmatic, native, OTT, Social, SEO, SEM, Email, and familiarity with emerging digital trends and innovative product solutions.
Fluent in English with excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Experience guiding, directing, and motivating personnel, including setting and monitoring performance standards.
Proven ability to establish long-range objectives and specify strategies and actions to achieve them.
Ability to identify the developmental needs of others and coach, mentor, or otherwise help them improve their knowledge or skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Zoom.
Experience with Wide Orbit Traffic/Media Sales, Matrix or similar CRM platform, Nielsen/comScore measurement, and Google Analytics is preferred.
