At Sevita, you can use your passion and skills to help others while growing your career.SUMMARYSevita is seeking a highly motivated Communications Specialist to join our growing team and create a top-of-class communications function that keeps employees informed and drives employee engagement. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications, the Communications and Content Specialist will play a key role in the development and execution of corporate communication plans that support business priorities and improve sentiment among internal and external stakeholders. This role will work closely with leaders across our family of services to develop and execute communications initiatives that engage, excite, and inspire; align teams; and shape culture.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSIn action, this role includes:

Developing and executing effective multichannel content plans

Collaborating with business leads across a family of services

Sourcing, pitching, creating, packaging, and distributing content across owned channels

Developing high quality communication materials using a variety of tactics (written communications, talking points, presentation materials, virtual meetings, video messages, etc.)

Managing content for the employee intranet

Coordinating internal and external communications flow

Aligning content plans with audience needs

Identifying local earned media opportunities

Measuring effectiveness of internal communications channels and audience engagement in an effort to continually improve overall communications strategies

Additional responsibilities as needs evolve

Minimum Knowledge and Skills Required

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field

3-5 years of experience in a related role

Ability to think creatively and analytically, strategically and tactically

Experience managing multiple projects and adapting to shifting priorities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Deft with spreadsheets (Excel, Smartsheet) and informational organization

Strong negotiation and customer service skills

Preferred: multimedia and basic video editing experience
