If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.JOB SUMMARY:The remote role of the Director Revenue Management is to provide direction to property teams to identify develop and implement all potential revenue opportunities for a full service premium branded hotel. This position is a remote position encompassing 25% in the office or one day a week in office if local or one week per month if the candidate is out of state. This role will provide integral support daily to the team for both long-term and short-term goals system reporting and tools and accurate forecasting to maximize the total revenue and profitability for the hotel they support. This role will also be expected to participate and be a key member of the Executive Committee for the hotel as applicable. Exempt associates are expected to work as much of each workday as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONS:Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field. Demonstrated success in revenue management roles, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and optimizing pricing strategies. Marriott property experience or oversight of Marriott brands preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, with strong abilities in formulating and reporting complex data. Must be adept at analyzing financial information and using data-driven insights to make strategic decisions. Comprehensive knowledge of general hotel operations and yield management principles. Experience with branded or similar Property Management Systems (PMS), internet and travel websites, and industry-specific reports (e.g., TravelClick and STR) is desired. Ability to work with and interpret financial data and perform basic arithmetic functions. Must have a strong understanding of revenue management principles and their impact on hotel profitability. Strong understandings of Marriott systems such as: CI/TY, MARSHA, FS/PMS, One Yield, and data analysis through Travelclick & Lighthouse systems preferred. East or West Coast locational experience preferredJOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with the General Manager (GM) and Director of Sales (DOS) to set and manage yield controls, maximizing revenue across all distribution channels. Work with the front office team to enhance revenue through effective inventory management, upselling, and sell-out efficiency. Partner with Sales and Marketing to develop strategies for negotiating and booking group and catering business. Ensure optimal utilization of meeting space to boost room, food, and beverage revenue. Manage brand and third-party channels, including working with OTA market managers on promotions. Analyze ROI on marketing programs to maximize revenue and market exposure. Relay and distribute notes from daily, weekly, and monthly meetings to stakeholders. Facilitate meetings and ensure timely communication of key actions and decisions. Utilize Sales & Revenue Management systems for daily operations, forecasting, and reporting. Analyze revenue reports, make yield management decisions, update inventory and rate information, and perform displacement analysis to support group sales. Conduct test calls to verify rate quoting accuracy and selling strategies. Serve as a key contact for system and revenue management questions, providing in-person training as needed. Prepare and analyze market segmentation, production, source contribution, daily pick-up, and pace summary reports. Review STR reports to assess RevPAR Index changes and develop strategies to improve competitive positioning. Develop, monitor, and adjust group pricing strategies and need periods. Engage in annual BT pricing processes and provide data analysis for aligning production trends with revenue goals. Contribute to 30-60-90 day forecasts and annual budgets. Participate in monthly financial reviews focused on sales revenue and P&L. Represent the hotel at industry functions and events. Manage group cut-off dates and monitor hotel status throughout the day. Adjust inventory controls as necessary and communicate updates to the strategy team. Develop and coach a team of Revenue professionals as applicable.
