Desktop Support Analyst

Description We are offering a role within the Real Estate & Property industry, based in Richmond, Virginia. The role is for a Desktop Support Analyst and falls under the category of temporary employment. Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with the Service Central team to address and resolve IT issues. Carry out hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including the installation and upgrade of software, hardware, implementation of file backups, and system and application configurations. Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows and Mac) and a range of software applications. Perform preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of endpoints such as workstations, printers, IP Phones, and peripherals. Test fixes to ensure issues have been adequately resolved and perform post-resolution follow-ups on help requests. Troubleshoot and repair conference room equipment such as phones, projectors, sound systems, cables, and wall plates. Utilize remote support tools to assist users with problems and to remotely update software. Install and configure new IT equipment pertinent to endpoints such as laptops, printers, and IP phones. Communicate technical information to non-technical personnel effectively. Demonstrate the ability to work independently to identify and resolve network, server, desktop, and application admin issues. Assist business clients with applications, connectivity, training, and problem-solving. Demonstrate knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures, and techniques. Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills. Display the ability to learn and support new systems and applications. Show experience or knowledge in desktop operating systems such as Windows, Mac OS, Linux. Perform basic hardware and software troubleshooting, installation, and repair. Demonstrate basic experience or knowledge with Windows Server Active Directory, DNS, DHCP. Show basic experience or knowledge with VOIP. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Desktop Support Analyst role within the Real Estate & Property industry Proficient in Citrix Technologies and Dell Technologies Experience with EO/IR systems Knowledge and hands-on experience with Mac Computers and Microsoft systems Familiarity with Active Directory Competency in Computer Hardware Proficient in Configuration Management Prior experience with Deployments Experience in Deskside Support Knowledge of Desktop Hardware Proficiency in handling Mobile Devices Familiarity with Networking+ and Wireless Networking Excellent problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment High degree of adaptability and flexibility Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Proactive with a strong attention to detail Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic work environment.
