Job DescriptionInsight Global is looking for a Data Scientist to work across teams to implement machine learning models and apply advanced analytics to real-world public health informatics problems. The Data Scientist will assist the client in using its data more efficiently and effectively by strengthening centralized data sources and supporting public health programs with advanced data analysis. In this role, you will tackle complex public health informatics problems while leveraging a wide range of real-world public health data.This is a contract position and the hourly pay rate is $40-60/hr and based on experience.Typical Core DutiesData Analysis and Insights Conduct in-depth analysis of large and complex datasets using statistical and machine learning techniques. Implement predictive models to anticipate future trends and outcomes in the relevant domains of public health. Identify strategies that will enable the client to use data more efficiently and effectively, for example, through automation or process improvement.Communication and Stakeholder Engagement Communicate and present findings and insights effectively to non-technical audiences, including leadership and policy makers. Collaborate with teams across the organization to solve public health data problems, consult on data questions, and connect data users with central office resources. Mentor and educate team members on statistical concepts, machine learning algorithms, and best practices in data analysis.Record Linkages and Entity Resolution Apply expertise in record linkage and entity resolution techniques to integrate disparate datasets and resolve data inconsistencies for accurate analysis. Identify and implement algorithms and methodologies for data matching and deduplication that will enhance data quality and reliability.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
