Description We are in search of a Customer Service Representative to be part of our dynamic team in the local government sector, based in Richmond, Virginia. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in a call center environment. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be instrumental in handling inbound calls, providing excellent customer service, and efficiently managing data entry tasks.Responsibilities: Handle and respond to inbound calls from customers, ensuring their needs are addressed promptly and effectively. Deliver exceptional customer service, resolving inquiries and issues to ensure customer satisfaction. Enter customer data into the system with accuracy and attention to detail. Use your skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word to manage and organize customer information. Engage in email correspondence with customers to address their inquiries or concerns. Manage both inbound and outbound calls as part of your daily responsibilities. Ensure all order entries are processed accurately and within the set timelines. Schedule appointments as required, ensuring efficient use of resources. Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action based on account status. Continually strive to improve processes and procedures to enhance the customer experience. Requirements Proven experience in a customer service role within a local government setting Proficiency in answering inbound and outbound calls in a timely and detail oriented manner Solid understanding of call center operations and customer service best practices Demonstrated ability to handle and resolve customer inquiries and complaints Proficiency in data entry with a high level of accuracy Experience in managing email correspondence with customers Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word applications Experience in order entry and processing Ability to schedule appointments efficiently and accurately Strong communication and interpersonal skills High level of patience and empathy towards customers' needs and concerns Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment High school diploma or equivalent education level.
