- Participate in developing and documenting User Stories by providing the test strategy and automation estimates
- Develop, document, and maintain the test strategy and test scenarios
- Build and execute unit, component, acceptance, integration, load, security, scalability, usability, and platform tests
- Conducts code reviews to ensure consistency, quality, and reusability of test automation artifacts
- Regularly execute, maintain and upkeep automated test suites and analyze the results to identify the cause for failures
- Create defects for issues found with appropriate details and ensure issues are resolved, including validation of the fix, and required automation updates
- Present appropriate results to sign off on software functionality for new Production releases
- Work with team to manage dev, QA, and production release of the software
- Perform exploratory testing to understand the feature and how it is implemented, to find additional or unexpected behavior, and to refine and define additional test cases for the feature
- Contribute to the QA automation framework using industry standard tools and approaches
- Leverage and enhance coding standards and best practices for automated QA code
- Participate in analyzing Major Incidents and Emergency Change controls to identify opportunities to automate software quality test cases to reduce or eliminate those
- Identify and perform test cases in the factory to validate functional business-case, user acceptance and code migration is successful
- Assess system for consistency between requirements, design, implementation and delivered function, and report on findings
- Ability to identify and challenge software decision paths during testing phase
- Validate factory knowledge reports and underlying data quality
- Minimum 4 years of work experience as software quality analyst, tester or similar role
- Understanding of the principles and deployment of QA software testing and agile SDLC, with a minimum of three years' experience in these techniques (formal education or training in Agile software development preferred)
- Ability to work in a team environment where constructive feedback and open sharing is required
- Familiarity with MS SQL to the level of being able to develop test criterion to ensure data integrity for reporting
- Familiarity with MS Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps and software control methodology
- Good communications skills with ability to clearly articulate, collaborate and substantiate recommendations with team. Provide and accept critiques on software and business concepts
- Experience in a manufacturing environment and process control is preferred, with the ability to understand the relationship between process data and real world actions (virtual/data to physical world/actions)
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment while ensuring high quality work, seeking perfection prior to deploying software into production
- Self-starter able to evolve along with business requirements and the software lifecycle

- Travel may be required for this position and varies dependent upon the particular demands but is not substantial typically. There are scenarios with major deployments that necessitate extended onsite presence
