Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Construction Accountant in Richmond, Virginia, within the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry. This role involves managing job cost accounting for construction projects, preparing financial statements, overseeing accounts payable and receivable processes, assisting in budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Responsibilities: Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications. Oversee the management and monitoring of job cost accounting for all construction projects. Assist in the preparation and review of cost reports, identifying variances and collaborating with project managers to control costs. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely billing and payments. Reconcile vendor and subcontractor accounts and maintain accurate customer credit records. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring actual performance against budgeted goals. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, tax requirements, and company policies, providing necessary documentation and explanations for internal and external audits. Utilize Procore and QuickBooks for financial tracking and reporting, and provide training and support to team members on new software systems as needed. Work closely with project managers, estimators, and other departments to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting. Requirements Proven experience in Account Reconciliation within the real estate or construction industry Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation Demonstrated ability to perform Bank Reconciliations Extensive knowledge and experience with General Ledger management Experience in recording and maintaining Journal Entries Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial data management and analysis Experience in managing Month End Close procedures Familiarity with NetSuite financial software Experience with Oracle financial management systems Knowledge of SAP financial software and its application in construction accounting Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
