We are a mom-and-pop discount and store and pawn shop making the transition to the 21st Century. As such, we need a stalwart, go-to management trainee who can quickly master and handle the day-to-day hands-on processes involved in running the business (which are as yet still very manual) so that management can devote more time to developing and implementing more streamlined and automated processes.
The candidate that is right for the position must possess both broad intellectual capability and copious amounts of drive and gumption. The position will involve customer interaction, negotiation, just-in-time knowledge acquisition (using online search tools), writing, customer service, photography, cleaning, and sales. The candidate must be reliable and honest. We envision the ideal candidate as having a sharp mind and great people skills, while always taking the initiative to get her/his hands dirty (both literally and figuratively) to make the business work. Top notch receptive and expressive language skills are a must. Fluency in both English and Spanish will be of great value in this position.
