Job Description:Job SummaryCloud computing continues to allow us to modernize and consolidate IT infrastructure, automate workloads, and pursue next-generation innovation. To continue this transformation, we're seeking an experienced Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud engineer with expertise in design, development, and implementation of large-scale projects and critical mission systems in the cloud. The ideal candidate is experienced in cloud-based technology, with a firm grasp of emerging technologies, platforms, and applications, and ability to customize them to help our business become more secure and efficient. Extensive knowledge of cloud maintenance & operations and advanced industry knowledge is key to keeping Leidos on the cutting edge. From day one, you'll have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of our IT operations and supporting our customer's miissions, and an ongoing impact on our overall growth. Primary Responsibilities-Participate in design, planning and implementing integration of cloud solutions and capabilities into mission systems.-Lead requirements, designs and backlog management for cloud and DevOps related software development activities.-Evaluate technologies and solutions to increase DevOps, cloud automation, CI/CD pipelines, cloud environment security monitoring, zero trust designs, cloud simulation & testing in support of business and mission infrastructure and Operation (I&O) transformation.-Develop, test and deploy cloud configuration scripts and infrastructure as code (IaC) to enhance cloud architectures and provide automated monitoring and auto remediation.-Automate the processes to collect, normalize, and analyze cloud log telemetry data-Provision, configure, deploy, and administer secure enterprise cloud resources in multi-cloud and hybrid cloud via software abstraction design patterns and APIs.-Evaluate cloud software coding practices for compliance with STIGs and other cybersecurity best practices-Participate in agile planning and estimation activities to break down large tasks into smaller tasks-Participate in agile scrum meetings and work within SecDevOps best practices-Collaborate with other cloud, software and system engineers in implementing cloud specific CI/CD and DevOps best practices Basic Qualifications-Bachelors degree and 8 - 12 years of experience or Master's Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field and 6 - 10 years of cloud and container experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.-Proficiency in cloud architectures, services, design patterns, DevOps, networking, gateways, IPS/IDS, and comprehensive knowledge of cloud architectures and DevOps tooling. AWS certifications a plus.-Hands-on experience designing, implementing and testing cloud solutions in cloud environments.-Understanding of software engineering and secure coding practices using Java, Python and other object-oriented languages-Understanding of APIs and interface standards such as CLI, SOAP, REST, JSON-RPC, XML-RPC, YAML-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
