SENIOR IT PROJECT MANAGER Data Warehouse, Big Data, Business Intelligence or Analytics ALTA IT Services has two 12 month+ contract openings for Sr. IT Project Managers to lead, plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects for a health insurance Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO). This role oversees and directs complex $5M+ enterprise-wide corporate initiatives involving 15-50+ stakeholder groups across several organizational work streams utilizing Agile methodology to deliver results. This is a hybrid position with periodic meetings expected in the organization’s Reston, VA office. Candidates should reside within commuting distance to Reston, VA. Experience: 10+ years of IT experience with minimum of 5+ years of hands-on Project Management experience with at least 3 years in Data warehouse, big data (Cloudera or AWS, etc.), Business Intelligence (MicroStrategy or Tableau or Cognos or Business Objects, etc.), or Analytics projects. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

25% Actively plans and manages large scale Waterfall or Agile projects holistically around scheduled program increments and milestones, scope, cost, resource health and risks while collaborating with stakeholders in key meetings resulting in successful project delivery.

25% Plans and owns project finances which includes timing implications and key payment dates while proactively reporting status, scorecard creation and fulfilling project analysis requests by using critical and creative thinking.

25% Leads and contributes to vendor selection and procurement activities under program manager guidance while identifying, producing, and fulfilling resource and go-live operational plans to insure project success.

25% Prepares key documents, present business cases and produces other reports as needed while collaborating with stakeholders to bring projects through project funding conversations and initiation ceremonies.

EDUCATION LEVEL: Bachelor's Degree, Health Informatics, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related discipline

In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience

Experience: 10+ years of IT experience with minimum of 5+ years of hands-on Project Management experience with at least 3 years in Data warehouse, big data (Cloudera or AWS, etc.), Business Intelligence (MicroStrategy or Tableau or Cognos or Business Objects, etc.), or Analytics projects.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Hands on experience on Agile practices, Scrum process, Kanban, and waterfall methodology.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, Engineering, or equivalent work experience is required.

Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM).

Excellent knowledge of Jira, MS Teams, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, and MS Visio.

Strong Financial Management ability including comprehension of project financials, profit and loss and the ability to create and manage and adhere to a broader project budget. , Advanced.

Strong Communication skills both written and verbal, Advanced.

Ability to successfully lead in a matrixed environment, Advanced.

Strong customer skills with internal and external customers.

Release Management Skills.

Experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with Data Modeling, Data Analysis, Data Migration.

Candidate must be adaptable and nimble in their approach.

Must be able to perform assigned tasks with minimum supervision.

Healthcare experience is a plus.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI Preferred

SAFe Scrum Master Certification Preferred
