DescriptionCloud Vulnerability Assessment AnalystDescription:This role will play a crucial part in coordinating, executing, and maintaining vulnerability scanning operations to ensure the security and resilience of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) cloud systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, hands-on experience with scanning tools, and the ability to analyze and report on vulnerabilities effectively.Duties:In this role, a typical day will include:

Coordinate network scan operations in cloud environments, including reviewing and verifying IP ranges, selecting scan policies, and responding to inquiries while coordinating with relevant teams.

Conduct initial system/data checks in cloud environments, monitor concurrent scans, troubleshoot issues, verify accuracy, conduct post-scan checks, and develop new testing programs.

Verify and edit report templates, produce Scan Findings Reports, conduct quality assurance checks, distribute reports, and produce compliance data focused on cloud environments.

Manage enterprise scanning solutions and infrastructure in cloud environments, support backend systems and Vulnerability Databases, and write/edit scripts (Perl, Python).

Utilize Tenable Security Center, Nessus Scanner, NMAP, and support new tools procured by the VA for cloud environments.

Review scan data, logs, and repository information, identify system performance trends in cloud environments, review and update scan policies, and produce periodic analysis and impact reports.

QualificationsRequirements:

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field. May accept an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.

3+ years of relevant experience

Proven experience in conducting vulnerability scanning and security assessments in cloud environments using tools such as Tenable Security Center, Nessus Scanner, and NMAP.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills

Strong people skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team of peers

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
