Currently, this is a full-time remote position (work from home). Must reside within the United States.

Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be successfully obtain to a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) EOD authorization.

Effectively and professionally communicate with both technical and non-technical colleagues and customers at all levels of seniority

You will spear-head in-depth system administration of Cloud environments (not just “dashboard admin”) – in other words, you need to understand “why things work the way they do”

You will plan, coordinate, and perform integration and troubleshooting of systems in a Cloud/Windows/Linux environment

Your vast knowledge and experience will be put to good use, by implementing and securing services relating to remote connections (including: VDI, VPN)

Security is the key word – so you will of course have to integrate Multi-factor authentication (MFA, 2MFA)

What good is security without a key - Enhance data protection and compliance (with technologies such as OpenSSL, Keystores, Azure Key Vault, Cyphers)

The government world revolves arounds its standards – So you will have to secure systems by following STIGs, best practices, and government/compliance requirements (such as NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, FISMA, FEDRAMP), and negotiating/working-with IA personnel to arrive at sensible and effective solutions

Manage Cloud & SELinux configurations and policies using automated methods (that means writing scripts, code, etc. to implement including CLI and Ansible playbooks) – knowledge of JSON and Python helps too

​Keep up on the latest things – including troubleshoot and develop new SELinux policies (CIL/M4 macros) as needed

Able to track down the root cause of a service/application failure through the use of logs and CLI-based tools (Log-based Analysis, not just guessing)

Perform integrations with network devices, such as VPN, firewall, routing

Perform server integration into an AD domain without the use of a third-party application

Work independently or on very small teams to integrate systems and solutions, triage issues, and prioritize tasks

You are the “Technician Master for Cloud” so you need to create and coordinate technical solutions. This will involve briefing solutions to other members of the team.

You may be asked to attend meetings, obtain credentials, etc. Virtually (with and without a camera), in a CACI or government office at any time

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

US Citizenship required.

Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be successfully obtain to a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) EOD authorization. Active DoD clearance preferred, but not required.

University Degree (BS), or equivalent years of related experience, and additionally 10+ years of related IT engineering experience required.

7+ years’ cumulative experience with customer interactions, including presenting, answering questions, proactively resolving issues.

7+ years’ cumulative experience with in-depth systems administration in Cloud environments (Azure/AWS preferred).

5+ years’ cumulative experience with in-depth systems administration in Linux environments (RHCE equivalence).

5+ years’ cumulative experience with in-depth systems administration in Windows environments (MS Security Engineer/Solution Architect certification equivalence).

5+ years’ cumulative experience integrating and troubleshooting systems in a Linux environment (CentOS/RHEL preferred), & Windows environment (Windows Server preferred).

2+ years’ hands-on cumulative experience creating, analyzing and automating Linux scripts (Command, Bash, C, Ansible) – basically you need to know how to connect things for automation needs.

3+ years’ cumulative experience implementing and securing services relating to remote connections.

2+ years’ cumulative experience integrating/understanding Multi-factor authentication (MFA, 2MFA).

5+ years’ cumulative experience with enhance data protection and compliance (such as OpenSSL, Keystores, Azure Key Vault, Cyphers).

2+ years’ cumulative experience with securing systems by following STIGs, best practices, and government/compliance requirements (such as NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, FISMA, FEDRAMP), and negotiating/working-with IA personnel to arrive at sensible and effective solutions.

1+ years’ cumulative experience with network devices, integrations and concepts such as VPN, firewall, routing.

1+ years’ cumulative experience with Agile/Kanban, Git/GitHub.

3+ years’ cumulative experience with VMWare (implementing, managing, configuring)

2+ years’ system admin level understanding of Windows server/ADFS environments

2+ years’ cumulative experience integrating, securing, and understanding the following Microsoft platform services (both in Windows OS and in Azure Cloud): Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS), Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS), Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS), Windows AD-integrated PKI, Single Sign On (SSO) implementation

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

Technical degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related subject area

Relevant Technical and/or Security Certifications (e.g. CISSP, CCNA, CCDA, CCNA-Security, etc.)

One (1) of the following certifications: Azure DevOps Engineering Expert, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate

Understands and intuits "why things work", not just the ability to follow installation and configuration guides

Proven communication skills both written and verbal to management

Familiarity with common cybersecurity tools is greatly desired. Our mission to support DHS in their cybersecurity needs, inclusive of identifying and preventing culprits from accessing systems/data that they shouldn’t is a high priority focus for our team.

2+ years’ recent (within the past 3 years) cumulative experience with Azure Cloud Computing

Some experience (1+ years’) with any or all of these products or technologies: MS SQL, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Qualys, SCCM, BigFix, MDM solutions, GIT (again, nice to have, not required)

Some experience (1+ years’) setup and integration with IIS, SQL Server
