ALTESS’s enterprise data centers serve millions of users around the world, supporting system environment needs for organizations throughout the Joint Forces, Department of Defense, and Army.This datacenter supports over 150K users in the US Army and hosts over 80 applications for the departments of the US Army.ALTESS is a US Army Managed Service Provider, supporting Army IT applications across varying hosting scenarios.Position Requirements This position is for a high level Network Engineer focused on the implementation and sustainment of switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers and network management tools. The focus is a datacenter environment supporting two separate DoD networks.Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain scalable, high-performance network infrastructure within the datacenter environment Implement network architecture and solutions to meet current and future requirements Configure and deploy network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other networking equipment Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure optimal network operation. Conduct regular performance tuning and optimization activities to improve network efficiency and reliability Implement network redundancy and failover mechanisms to minimize downtime and maximize availability Maintain security posture of network devices to DoD standards by implementing DISA STIGs, vendor best practices, and NIST standards. Provide Tier II or Tier III troubleshooting with internal and external stakeholders Document environment changes and follow change and incident management processesSkills:Network engineering, Firewall, Cisco routers, AutomationTop Skills Details:Network engineeringAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Desired Skills: 5+ years of switch management experience Engineer level experience with the Cisco Nexus (9K,7K, 5K, and 2K) line and Cisco Catalyst line Engineer level experience with VMware Networking (NSX, ALB) Engineer level experience with Palo Alto firewalls Engineer level experience with F5 load balancers Experience with Ansible and Python Experience with network automation and scripting Experience interfacing with cloud environment counterparts (AWS, Azure, Private) Engineer level experience with working in DevSecOps environments Computing Environment (CE) Certification Professional Level or higher (i.e., Cisco CCNP, Cisco CCNP Datacenter, Juniper, Palo Alto, F5 etc.)Experience Level:Expert LevelAbout TEKsystems: We're partners in transformation.
