Summary About the Position: Serve as a Supply Management Specialist and as the Property Book Officer for US Army Criminal Investigation Division Field Offices with responsibility for assisting the Assistant Director for Logistics, Facilities & Maintenance (G-4) with planning the property accountability or supply program, providing supply management support to CID as well as overseas geographically disbursed at various locations world-wide deployed in support of Combatant Commander Warfighting efforts. Responsibilities Serve as Property Book Officer and manage property accountability utilizing automated systems. Account for equipment through the proper issue, receipt, and transfer of equipment. Provide guidance and training to primary hand receipt holders and logistics personnel to resolve discrepancies discovered during inventories. Provide advice on supply systems, requirements, procedures, and policy to assure understanding and compliance with requirements and regulations. Ensure all non-standard equipment purchased for use, not assigned a material number, is submitted for the assignment of a material number to enable cradle to grave accountability. Evaluate supply programs to resolve problem areas and material management weaknesses. Contribute to the development of policies and procedures governing operations, monitors operations to detect and correct problems, and personally intervenes in sensitive or critical transactions which may impact units at the organization level. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: possess extensive knowledge of Property Book Office processes and procedures; manage and direct the supply and property accountability programs; maintain documents and files associated with the receipt, issue, transfer, and turn-in of equipment; develop policies and procedures to maintain accountability of property; and provide guidance and training to supply personnel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Accountability Planning and Evaluating Supply Planning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements and minimum qualification requirements prescribed by OPM within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.
