- Assess current or future customer needs and priorities through communicating directly with customers and commercial partners, conducting surveys, or other methods.
- Adheres to strict security constraints meeting customer requirements.
- Support development and delivery requirements document(s) that is/are aligned with future operating concepts via capabilities analyses, e.g., Logistics Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Logistics Functional Concept, Capabilities Based Performance Work Statement for Capabilities Based Analysis in support of USMC Logistic Information Technology Assessment (CBA), and Initial Capability Documents (ICDs) that describe exacting needs to support the Log IT portfolio of systems.
- Provide technical planning and strategic thinking across USMC logistics IT portfolio.
- Provide SME support during teleconferences and meetings with customers to perform data integration.
- Produce technical documentation to support integration services.
- Implement findings and make recommendations on the entire data lifecycle process.
- Work directly with customers and stakeholders to present and articulate the techniques and major results generated using non-technical language for data analysis and management.
- Create innovative, repeatable, business use cases for real world optimization techniques, and quickly develop prototypes to test use cases.
- Work with VMs and VDIs; potentially work with cloud environments, including AWS and MS Azure framework.
- Propose, create, and maintain data processing and automation projects to management based on subject matter expertise in the available data and system architecture.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize databases to maintain disk space and usability purposes.
- Assist with redesign of databases.
- Purge unused database tables of data for disk space and usability purposes before impending upgrade.
- Conduct research and recommend lightweight formats for storing and transporting data.
- 8+years of experience in information systems engineering.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, computer science, or related discipline. Relevant work experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree, like Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) Crediting Combinations of Education and Experience standard.
- DoD experience preferred.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- PL/SQL code and T-SQL code desired.
- Java, Python, C#, C, and .NET desired.
- VBA coding, MS Access, Excel, and Visio desired.
- Oracle, Postgres, MS Access, MySQL, Sybase, Firebird database software, c-treeACE, SQL Developer, and relational databases desired.
- A minimum of five years' experience in transforming languages and schemas is required. XML, XSLT, XSD, and DTD is desired.
- MS Azure Federated Identity Management and AWS desired.
- A minimum of five years' experience is required in providing hands-on installation, configuration and maintenance of security certificates, encryption. This includes troubleshooting production issues and deploying applications. WSDL, WADL, SAMLs, and JKS, Web Services experience are desired.
- A minimum of five years' experience is required in building, implementing, and maintaining web services and APIs is required. API is a software that allows two applications to talk to each other. Experience in XML, JSON, APIs that support HTTP/HTTPS protocol, and RESTful and SOAP for web service communication over the internet desired.
